33 Weeks

This was another busy week that somehow just seemed to fly by! On Thursday my parents came up for the day to visit and help me put together things in the nursery. Mannie and I went down with them to Jersey that evening. The next morning, we had a nice visit with my Aunt and Uncle. I rarely see my Aunt because she lives in Arizona and is constantly travelling, so it was really nice to get a chance to visit with her! On Saturday we drove down to Maryland for my cousin Crissy's bridal shower. It was a lovely day and Crissy & Emerson are such a happy couple. I'm so excited for them!!! Dave and Dad hung out at the house and watched baseball, Go Phills! On Sunday we went to church and then out to lunch at Filomena's (yum) for an early Mother's Day celebration. After we got home we did a little impromtu maternity shoot with Mom and her new camerea... pictures to come. Then back to Jersey City to watch more of the Phillies. All in all a great action-packed weekend :)

In baby news, with the exception of crying, baby girl is capable of doing everything that a newborn baby will do. She is restricted now inside of the uterus, but still can kick and move. Baby girl should be sleeping a lot of the time, just as newborn babies do, but she is not quite as sleepy as I'd like. When baby girl is awake, she is listening, feeling and learning. Baby girl will probably settle into the birth position soon, but right now she feels like she's sideways. In 3-4 weeks the Ob will do a growth ultrasound to see if she is in the right position and engaging, so fingers crossed she starts moving in the right direction.

Less then 50 days to go!!!!

Because I love progression pics...

13 weeks       ~          23 Weeks          ~       33 Weeks

Pregnancy: 33 weeks
Size of Baby: about 4.5 pounds and about 19.5 inches long
Gender: Girl
Sleep: hahaha such a funny topic. Some nights I'm up 5-6 times and other nights 2 times. So I'll take the sleep when I can get it :). I know it's all practice for when our little girl arrives and keeps us up all hours of the night.
Cravings: Liquids
Feeling: Fine.
Health: I'm feeling just fine. Sure I'm tired and lack energy, but all in all not bad for being this far along. That is until the heat wave this weekend.... bring on the swelling! My fingers became sausages and I can no longer wear my wedding rings. It was a miracle that I got my wedding band off in time. My feet became huge. I'm talking, cannot see my ankle bones huge. Lots of fluid and getting my feet up have helped a bit. I just don't think my body was quite ready for such a drastic change in the temperature. So I'm praying for a cool wave!
Movement: Her movements are definitely changing. I am not feeling as many kicks and punches, as much as rolls and deep movements. She presses so hard at times it feels like she's fighting to get out! I think she's already practicing her starfish move. She is so strong that at times it really takes my breath away!
Belly: I think it's dropped since last week. Check out the weekly pictures on the side and let me know what you think. I have nothing to compair this to (pregnancy wise), but it looks like she dropped. Interesting...
Best Moment this Week: Our Lamaze classes!
What I Miss: My ankles :(
Next Appointment: This Wednesday, May 5th at the Ob's office.
