38 Weeks

She's ready....

I'm ready.....

Now we wait.

Well David and I are very ready to meet our little girl. Our bags are packed we're ready to go (think Ben Afflick singing in Armageddon). Last week was freezer prep, meaning I cooked and baked to stock up on food for after the birth. I really wanted to get this done in order to make things easier for us in those first few weeks, but in reality didn't think I'd get around to it. Well I actually did and here's the list of what I've prepped....

This week I plan to take one room at a time and do a deep cleaning. Normally this wouldn't take too long, but let's face it I don't move too fast or too well these days. I'm so looking forward to cleaning every little baseboard and dust ball to make things spic and span for the baby. Once I'm done, I'll be officially welcoming and encouraging her arrival!

The doctor appointment this morning went very well. She is very low and progressing right along. So we will see...

Weekly belly pics...

Pregnancy: 38 weeks

Size of Baby: about 6.8 pounds and about 21 inches long

Gender: Baby Girl

Sleep: What do you think?! It's not easy, but oddly enough 4 hours of sleep seems to get me through the day.

Cravings: I'm craving an outside baby!

Feeling: READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Health: Well.... I'm tired, cranky, and sore. I seem to get more sore and achy each day. I've been trying to stretch, do pilates, and bounce on my birthing/exercise ball. Since she's dropped my breathing and eating has become easier. I'm still dealing with heartburn, but Zantac is a miracle drug so it hasn't been an issue as of late. Swelling in my hands and feet is a bit scary, but again not too much longer. Hopefully they'll go back to normal quickly because I really miss wearing my old wedding band. I've been wearing a cheap Target "replacement ring" because let's face it, I'm not that secure! I do need to warn people that I have become a holly terror, just ask my poor husband. I'm a bit difficult to be around. Cranky is putting it nicely hahaha. I'm just ready :)

Movement: My little Loch Ness Monster is slowing down, but still very strong. It takes my breath away, but she won't be in there much longer so I'm just trying to enjoy her final movements. It still amazes me.

Belly: Big and dropping. Very few shirts even cover my expanding girth.

Best Moment this Week: Seeing my father make it through a successful surgery! Love you Buddy

What I Miss: Normal sized feet, not my crazy looking Shrek feet

Next Appointment: Wednesday, June 16th at the Ob's office.

Prayers: Two prayer requests this week. Continued prayers for baby Bobby and his family, as well as prayers for my father who just had, what we hope to be, his final knee surgery. He had some minor complications, which will be a bit of a setback, but overall he's doing very well. We can't wait to get him home! Thanks all :)
