In baby news our glider was deliverd yesterday (pics to come). We have an appointment on Thursday, which I'm assuming will be pretty uneventful. Then on Friday we have our Baby Care class from 4-9pm. Hopefully it will help teach us what to do with this little one when we bring her home because right now we really have no idea! So we're looking forward to learning how to care for our little lady.
This week baby girl will continue to open and close her eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. She should be moving many times throughout the day. I swear it feels like a million times! Baby girl’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. Maybe those kicks and jabs to the ribs should have tipped me off! She is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though they don’t necessarily coincide with my own. Also, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments. Lots of stuff...
Warning: this week I'm a cranky pregnant woman in overload!!!
Pregnancy: 29 weeks
Size of Baby: about 2.75 pounds and about 16.5 inches long
Gender: Girl
Sleep: I miss it. I really do. Getting up 4+ times a night is getting a little out of control. Even when I'm not in the bathroom, getting comfortable in bed is no easy task. I think it's God's way of getting me ready for all those nightly feedings :)
Cravings: Sleep
Feeling: Ugh
Health: To be perfectly honest, I feel like crap. I love my little girl, but I'm over being pregnant and I would like to not be anymore. Although I'm not quite ready for her to be here yet either, so if she could go somewhere other than my belly and continue to cook for a couple weeks that would be great. I'm just tired, cranky, swollen, achy, congested, struggling with heartburn and sore ribs. Other than that I'm good. It's just been a difficult couple of months... I will say I am so blessed that this little girl is our beacon of hope, amidst all the bad things that have or are happening. She is our angel.
Movement: It's getting ridiculous. If her movements in utero are any indication, I'm a bit concerned. She is going to be a very active little girl. This is retribution to my poor mother for having to deal with the "crazy climber" aka me.
Belly: It appears that I am growing more round these days and not just outward bound. Still no stretch marks, but there are times I think my belly is going to explode. Still have a ways to go, which is quite frightening.
Best Moment this Week: Celebrating Easter with my parents and Dave. Didn't matter that we were in the hospital, but that we were together celebrating the gift God has given us.
What I Miss: Being able to put on shoes without all the blood rushing to my head and wanting to fall over.
Next Appointment: Thursday, April 8th at the Ob
xoxo
Jill
