Be prepared for picture overload.....
On Saturaday the 17th, my Mother gave me and little girl a beautiful shower! All our family and friends came to share in our love for baby girl. My Mom completely outdid herself with all the amazing details. The theme of the shower was the retro birds based on the PBK bedding for the nursery. I was in awe of how much thought and effort went into every moment of the shower. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you to all those who gave of their time and love to be there. It meant so much to us! This little girl is already so deeply loved :)
shower details
On the 1st table: A tree that held handpainted wood birds for each guest to take home
as well as little change purses in beautiful fabric prints.
I took a couple and I plan to use them to carry pacifiers (thanks for the idea Missy).
so cute!
On the 2nd table: In the tree were paper birds filled with advice or a wish for me and baby girl.
There were also pictures set up of David and I as babies and the most recent ultrasound of our girl.
love it!
On the 3rd table: A yummy tower filled with red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting (so good!)
A fabulous diaper cake made by the talented Debbie filled with diapers, washclothes, baby hair ties,
baby chimes, pacifiers topped with a cutie stuffed owl. She's a pro. Thanks so much Deb!
I hated to take it apart to fit in the car.

My mom and I are going to use the birds to make a mobile

After the shower, my girls and I walked over to the local ice cream shop and got ourselves some treats. We just sat around on picnic tables enjoying our time together. Then we headed back to my parents house for some visiting and some food. It was a perfect day that we didn't want to end. Eventually a tired Mama made her way to bed filled with the wonderful memories of a beautiful day!
David, Baby Girl, and I are so grateful to you all!!!
Yay, I love the blog redesign by the way. :) And of course the shower was wonderful, I took a little green birdy for Bobby's room. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like those pictures of me but I have a feeling I have to get used to that! :)
