31 Weeks

Please excuse the delay this week. We had an amazing weekend at our baby shower!!! Thank you Mom for giving us such a beautiful shower and thank you to all the beautiful ladies in my life who showered our little girl with their love! I'll be sure to post lots of pics from the day. I came down with a bad cold on Sunday, hence my break from the blog. I'll be back in full swing soon enough!

At thirty-one weeks baby girl is still as active as ever! The other day I was in the bathroom putting on makeup and she kicked me so hard--right at the spot where my belly was leaning up against the sink--that she literally pushed my entire body back away from the sink a few inches! She kicks and moves so often that I was thinking it would be fun to try to keep count how many times I feel her move in one day, but it would be a full time job! We'd easily be in the hundreds before lunch. It would almost be easier to track the amount of time that she's not moving! Something else that's neat is I can feel distinct body part from the outside of my belly. I'll feel a foot or an elbow rippling along. Sometimes that foot or elbow will make its way into my ribs and I try to lightly move her away, but I'm not usually successful :)

Amazing pictures taken by my talented cousin. Thanks Melissa!!!

Pregnancy: 31 weeks
Size of Baby: about 3.5 pounds and about 18 inches long
Gender: Hopefully a girl, otherwise we're in for a big ol' surprise
Sleep: Not good. Not good at all. Since I'm fighting a cold, I can only breath out of my mouth (fun). Combine that with my constant bathroom trips and it's quite comical. I am fortunate that for the most part I can go back to sleep pretty easily.
Cravings: Juice still
Feeling: Just ok.
Health: I'm sore, tired, and fighting a cold. I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore (aren't I getting repetitive). I'm sure I'll forget all of this when she's here and in my arms, but at the moment it's hard to tell myself that!
Movement: The more active I am, the more active she seems to be. This past weekend she was out of control. I kept expecting a foot to actual come out of my body with the force of her kicking. It must have been all of the excitement :)
Belly: Large. It is definitely slowing me down. Bending over, getting up out of a deep chair, and hugging people is a challenge with this belly in the way. My belly button is pretty much flush.
Best Moment this Week: Sharing an amazing weekend with family & friends at our baby shower!!!
What I Miss: Oh so many things, but sleep is high up on the list
Next Appointment: This Thursday (tomorrow) the 22nd at the Ob
