Dave and I had a really great weekend together. Friday was filled with baby education (more about this to come). Saturday we hung out in the city all day, but made sure to stop at Carnegie Deli.
It was very good! And no, I did not eat a whole sandwhich by myself. We shared :). Then we headed up to Lincoln Center to catch a movie. We saw Shutter Island because we are both big Scorsese and Dicaprio fans. The movie was just ok. We were entertained, but they showed the best parts in the trailer. Don't you just hate that?! Then it was off to Pinkberry for some frozen yogurt.
Then we took a nice long walk and after my feet began to throb we decided it was time to head home. It was our first date together in a long time and I must say, I enjoyed the company ;). On Sunday we took another long walk into Hoboken, did some cleaning/laundry, and Dave finally got to watch some of the Master's that he had been patiently waiting to see.
One of the best parts of the weekend was knowing that my father was home, recovering and doing well. He was even able to attend church yesterday via a wheelchair. He also celebrated a birthday on Friday. We love you Dad and we are so happy to have you home!!!
Hope your weekend was as lovely as ours!
xoxo David & Jill
